Ambient Personal Intelligence

Your life,
understood.

We are building a personal AI companion that perceives the continuity of your life — what was said, what was felt, what matters — so you can live it more deliberately. Not another app demanding your attention. An intelligence that protects it.

01 — The Problem

We have never had more tools for remembering, and never remembered less of what matters.

Consider a single ordinary day. A morning conversation that reframes a project. A doctor's offhand remark you meant to follow up on. A friend's quiet worry, mentioned once and never again. An idea that arrived fully formed in the shower and dissolved before lunch.

Our lives are continuous. Our tools are fragmented. Conversations live in one app, calendars in another, health data in a third, notes in a fourth — and none of them talk to each other. The burden of integration falls entirely on the one resource we cannot replenish: attention.

The quantified-self movement gave us dashboards. What it never gave us was understanding. A step count does not know you skipped the gym because your father is in the hospital. A calendar does not know the meeting it scheduled is the third reschedule of a conversation you are dreading. Data without context is noise; context without continuity is trivia.

"We do not suffer from a lack of information. We suffer from a lack of integration — of a mind that holds our life together when our own attention cannot."

Meanwhile, the AI assistants we were promised turned out to be glorified search boxes: brilliant at answering questions, useless at noticing what was never asked. They wait to be prompted. They forget everything between sessions. They optimize for engagement, not for your becoming.

We believe the next leap is not a smarter chatbot. It is a companion — something that perceives, remembers, and acts with the quiet competence of someone who has known you for years.

02 — The Vision

What if technology didn't demand your attention, but protected it?

Imagine an intelligence that listens the way a good friend does — present but not intrusive. It notices the pattern in your weeks before burnout notices you. It remembers the commitment you made in passing and quietly makes sure it happens. It connects the doctor's remark to the lab result to the calendar, and simply tells you what to do next.

This is ambient personal intelligence: AI that lives alongside you rather than inside a chat window. It earns the most precious thing a machine can earn — trust — by being right, being discreet, and being there.

PILLAR I

Ambient Capture

A lightweight wearable companion passively captures daily communication — meetings, conversations, context — with privacy-first, on-device processing. Nothing leaves your control without your say.

  • Passive, low-friction capture of real life
  • On-device filtering — raw audio never has to leave
  • You decide what is remembered, and what is forgotten
PILLAR II

Deep Understanding

Claude's long-context reasoning weaves together conversations, physiological signals, emotional state, and work patterns into a living model of your life — not a dashboard, but comprehension.

  • Multimodal synthesis across your whole day
  • Patterns noticed before they become problems
  • Memory with continuity, not just retrieval
PILLAR III

Insight & Action

Proactive insights across health, focus, and planning — plus autonomous execution of the repetitive: scheduling, follow-ups, summaries, reminders. The small things, handled, so the big things get your attention.

  • Insights offered before you think to ask
  • Routine work executed via trustworthy tool use
  • Every action explainable, every action reversible
03 — Principles

What we will not compromise.

Privacy is the foundation, not a feature

A companion that perceives your life must be worthy of it. Capture happens on-device wherever possible; what is remembered is your explicit choice; what can be forgotten, will be. We will never sell attention, because we are in the business of protecting it.

Your data is yours

Local-first architecture. Full export, full deletion, no dark patterns. If you leave, your memories leave with you — intact and portable. Trust is a balance sheet, and we intend to stay solvent.

Augmentation, not replacement

The goal was never a machine that lives your life for you. It is a machine that returns your attention to you — so the thinking, the feeling, the deciding remain unmistakably human. We measure success in presence, not in prompts.

Calm technology

The best tools disappear. Our companion speaks when it has something worth saying, acts when action is clearly wanted, and otherwise stays quietly out of the way. No streaks, no badges, no manufactured urgency.

04 — Notes on Building

A longer reflection, for those who want it.

On attention. Every era's scarcest resource shapes its technology. Ours is attention — and nearly all modern software is engineered to harvest it. We find this backwards. The most valuable thing an intelligence can do for a person is not to capture more of their attention, but to spend it wisely on their behalf: handling the forgettable so the unforgettable gets its due.

On memory and identity. Philosophers have long argued that memory is the closest thing we have to a self — we are, in large part, the stories we can retell about ourselves. Yet our digital memories are curated by engagement algorithms, not by meaning. A companion that remembers what mattered, the way it mattered, is not a productivity tool. It is closer to a biographer: someone keeping the honest draft of your life while you are busy living it.

On tools versus companions. A tool waits. A companion notices. This is not a sentimental distinction — it is an architectural one. Tools are invoked; companions maintain state. Tools answer; companions anticipate. The entire history of personal computing has been tools. We think the next chapter belongs to something that holds context across time and uses it with discretion. That requires a different relationship between human and machine: less command-line, more trust.

On trust. Trust cannot be claimed; it can only be demonstrated, repeatedly, in small moments. A companion earns it the way people do: by being right more often than wrong, by admitting uncertainty, by never exploiting what it knows. We design every interaction around a single question — "would a thoughtful friend do it this way?" — and we would rather do less, well, than more, cleverly.

On why now. Three curves are converging: sensors small enough to disappear, models with context windows large enough to hold a life, and tool-use reliable enough to act in the world. Any one of these alone is a research project. Together, they are a product — and a responsibility. We are building now because the window is open, and because whoever builds this first sets the norms for what ambient intelligence is allowed to be. We intend those norms to be worthy of the trust they require.

"We are not building a smarter way to work. We are building a quieter way to live — with a companion that remembers, so you don't have to, and reminds, so you never miss what matters."
